David G. LeSourd typescript of "An Itinerant's Career"
This collection consists of one 347-page typescript copy of Rev. David G. LeSourd's autobiography, An Itinerant's Career. Rev. David G. Lesourd (1841-1925) was one of the first Superintendents of the Olympia District of the Puget Sound Annual Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church. In 1888 he became one one of the original incorporators of Puget Sound University in Tacoma, Washington.

Davis was a Washington State Senator (1912-1928) and a professor of history and political science at the College of Puget Sound (now University of Puget Sound), in Tacoma, Washington, from 1907-1943. Lyle Ford Drushel papers
Lyle Elizabeth Ford Drushel (1888-1985) attended the University of Puget Sound as a student from 1907 to 1912 and served as Puget Sound's Dean of Women from 1932 to 1953. The Lyle Ford Drushel papers include a scrapbook created by Lyle Ford during her time as a student at the University of Puget Sound and her personal copy of the 1939 "Tamanawas" yearbook, which was dedicated to her as Dean of Women.

Elizabeth Blackwell and Jane Webb Loudon print collection
Elizabeth Blackwell was an 18th century botanical artist and author of the book "A Curious Herbal," the first herbal written by a British woman. Jane Webb Loudon was a 19th century botanical artist and author of nonfiction, fiction, and poetry. This collection consists of four hand colored prints, three from Blackwell's "A Curious Herbal" and one from Loudon's "The Ladies' Flower-Garden of Ornamental Bulbous Plants."
