Comix Body exhibit zines, 2015-2018

 Series

Scope and Contents

These zines were purchased by the Collins Memorial Library for use in an exhibit titled "Comix Body," which was installed in the University of Puget Sound's Kittredge Gallery from October 8, 2018 to November 1, 2018. The exhibit was curated by University of Puget Sound English professor Mita Mahato.

"Comix Body" highlighted the work of independent comic artists and their unique skill of bringing life out of line. It offered intimate witness to the surprising, stigmatized, or raw realities that give shape to the body, its experiences, and its interactions. The exhibit included a reading nook with books and zines related to the exhibit.

Books that were purchased for the exhibit can be found in the library's general collection.
