John Lear (1959–) is a historian, author, and Professor Emeritus at the University of Puget Sound. The John Lear collection of United States military publications includes one box of print material published between 1951-1988 by the Department of the Army, the United States Continental Army Command, the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, and the United States Air Force Academy.
