Abstract
The National Grange of the Order of Patrons of Husbandry was founded in 1867 and is the oldest agricultural advocacy group in the United States. The Grange was a driving force behind some of the most progressive legislation in the United States in the early twentieth century, including the passage of the 19th Amendment in 1920, which granted women the right to vote.
