Scope and Contents
Andrew Gomez is the Andrew W. Mellon postdoctoral fellow at the University of Puget Sound. He specializes in the history of Latinos in the United States, with a particular interest in transnationalism, social history, and digital public history.
This oral history project centers on the Northwest Detention Center in Tacoma, Washington. The series consists of interviews with families, activists, and community members that are involved with the NWDC. The interviews are primarily conducted by University of Puget Sound students.
