Biographical

J'Anna Sharrard was born in Auburn, WA and attended the University of Puget Sound from 1950-1954, graduating with a B.A. in Music. Sharrard was an active student on campus and a member of Adelphians, Kappa Alpha Iota, and Kappa Phi, a Methodist sorority. She was also named one of "Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges," based on her scholastic achievements and campus involvement.

Sharrard spent most of her life in Portland, OR as an elementary school teacher and church organist.
