Scope and Contents
Records belonging to the Office of Communications include press releases, faculty public relations files, newsletters, information related to the university's Centennial celebration, and other materials. The majority of the records are slide binders and negatives from the university photographer. The print photograph collection has a separate finding aid, RG 04.01: University of Puget Sound Photograph Collection.

Historical
The Office of Communications is responsible for providing tools and assistance to the university community to promote Puget Sound's offerings, activities, and accomplishments. Their work includes writing communications strategies and plans, institutional identity management, media relations, editorial and publication management, copywriting, graphic design, photography, videography, and the promotion and organization of public events. In addition. this office is responsible for the University of Puget Sound website, online communications, and social media.
