Conditions Governing Access
Records of the Board of Trustees are restricted for 50 years from the date of creation with the exception of trustee biographical files, which are restricted for 75 years from the date of creation.
All records listed on this finding aid are open for research. All other Board of Trustees records retained in the Archives and Special Collections are closed for research.
Historical Note
The Board of Trustees was established in 1888 when the University of Puget Sound was founded. Members of Puget Sound’s Board of Trustees are alumni, parents, community members, and the university president, who exercise fiduciary responsibilities per Puget Sound’s Articles of Incorporation and the university bylaws, as well as state and federal laws and guidelines.
This collection includes minutes of Board of Trustees meetings and its various committees.
