Biographical / Historical
Thelma Bestler ('24) was an undergraduate student University of Puget Sound, then the College of Puget Sound. Bestler majored in Home Economics and was active in many student organizations. She was a cabinet member and president of the Young Women’s Christian Association; a member and president of the Lambda Sigma Chi Social Sorority; a member and president of the Inter-Sorority Council; secretary, vice president, and corresponding secretary of the Amphictyon Literary Society; a member and secretary-treasurer of the Otlah Club; secretary, vice president, and president of the Scientician Club; a staff member on the Tamanawas student staff; secretary and central board member of the A.S.C.P.S.; a member of the Campus Day committee; Secretary of the Sophomore class in 1921; and the 1924 May Queen.
