1 pamphlet titled "Petition from Kappa Sigma Theta Sorority for a Charter from Pi Beta Phi Fraternity" dated May 1948 and 2 copies of a pamphlet titled "The Pledge Book, Pi Beta Phi Fraternity" dated June 1949. In 1948, members of Kappa Sigma Theta, then the oldest local sorority on Puget Sound's campus, petitioned Pi Beta Phi's national organization for a chapter at Puget Sound. The petition was approved and Kappa Sigma Theta became Pi Beta Phi, the first women's national sorority at the University of Puget Sound in 1948. The pamphlets were originally donated to the Tacoma Historical Society by the family of Joyce Gail Chisholm Webber, University of Puget Sound Class of 1953 and member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority.
